Advanced retouch - Learn magazine quality retouch but I also include lots of great tips for any retoucher.

Lightpainting - Start to Finished Image - First, we start by shooting a live lightpainting using basic techniques that can be done by anyone with any camera. Then we will take the images into Lightroom and Photoshop to quickly and easily create a high-quality finished image that can bring premium prices!

Key take-aways:
Lightpainting - lightpainting is one of the cheapest and easiest ways to get started in multi-lighting, techniques for editing lightpainted RAW files, techniques for creating a finished composite that looks great and can be created quickly.

Advanced retouch - techniques used by high-end magazine retouchers, faster and easier ways to implement these techniques in a portrait workflow, commercial hair and makeup retouch.

Bio:
My career in photography started a little different than most people. When I was 20, I got a job as a professional retoucher, compositer, and all-around image editor for the local photographer across the street. Little did I know, that studio was the highest volume, and one of the most highly awarded, studios in the state! I was mentored by the Master Photographers at the studio and quickly earned my Masters of Photography and Craftsman. The experience I had at such a high-volume studio made me an expert in efficient, high-quality image editing in both RAW software and Photoshop. After winning a few state and national awards I began speaking at photography conventions, demonstrating the techniques I had learned along the way. This is where I found my passion for teaching. After 12 years, and hundreds of thousands of images, I left professional photography to become a photography instructor at the PPA accredited Hawkeye Community College Photography Program. I have now developed hundreds of hours of image editing instruction which has been proven to turn an absolute beginner into a professional that is ready to enter the industry at a high level. Thank you for choosing me to speak to your group. I am excited to see your group again and bring you some brand new classes!
