The Panelists

Shalonda Chaddock • Houston, TX • https://www.chubbycheekphotography.com/

Shalonda is the face + camera behind chubby cheek photography. She is a nationally published child photographer, based out of Houston Texas, where she is drowning in glitter and princess dresses with her two daughters, affectionately referred to as the cheeks girls, and real-life Superman. Her shooting style focuses on the magic of childhood and the belly laugh love from a family's connection. She allows REAL life to inspire her and shape her journey as a photographer, always recognizing that the little moments do mean the most, even when it means stepping on a Barbie shoe before she has had her coffee.

Esteban Gil • Guilford, CT • https://www.egilphoto.com/

Esteban Gil, Connecticut based wedding photographer and educator based in Guilford, CT. Over the decades, he has honed his raw creative abilities into a talent that is undeniable. Esteban places importance in capturing emotion first and art second, but consistently succeeds in turning most every moment into artistry. His work is easily recognized by his well thought out framing, out-of-the-box creativity, and even more so his imaginative use of light – be it natural or flash.

It’s no surprise that with these skills, particularly his manipulation of light, he has become a sought-after educator in flash photography, as well as an excellent representation of MagMod, as part of their Ambassador Team.

Peter Hurley • New York City, NY • https://peterhurley.com/

I'm excited to tell you my story, but the truth is that I just feel like a guy lucky enough to pick up a camera.

To me, the best part about everything I've ever done is that my work is the backbone that has gotten me to where I am and it stands for itself. My acting clients get jobs because the shots help open up doors for them, corporate executives are leaving my studio with a big ol' smile on their face and my personal branding clients are getting a slew of material to work with in order to promote their brand. This combo of the work I've been putting out and the popularity of people actually wanting to look their best in front of a camera led to a slew of speaking offers coming my way. I've been able to share my message to thousands in talks for Google, Microsoft, Apple, Adobe, GoDaddy, Allergan, and Canon to name a few. I am most proud of the TEDx talk I gave at MIT called “Bridging the Self-Acceptance Gap" with Dr. Anna Rowley.

Jordan Powers • Mankato, MN • https://jordanpowersphotography.com/

I am a Minnesota-based photographer and filmmaker specializing in commercial and residential interiors and architecture.

I have the good fortune of shooting for architects, designers, and builders with a growing business who care about using professional photography and video to represent their brand. I emphasize the brand piece because it’s one thing to want nice photos of your design but it’s another thing to want to leverage those photos to strengthen your firm’s image.

My photography has a strong focus on storytelling; documenting your project to not only show it in the best possible light but to make a connection with all who view it, so that they can experience the emotions you want people to associate with your work.
