I hope everyone is having a great summer! I’m so excited for our upcoming programs and have been looking forward to August for quite some time. The really great thing I’ve been anxious to share is that not only do we have CRAIG LA MERE speaking in August, but he’s also offered to do a small, intimate hands-on workshop the following day! I love opportunities like this because it’s such a great way to learn how someone else works, have that person teach you something new, and have the time to practice and play right then and there. We all go through those stages were we hit a wall – we lose our creativity and need a little inspiration. What better way than to get together with your fellow photographers and some models and learn some new techniques?

The workshop will take place in St. Paul at one of our member’s studios. Dan Davis has a warehouse studio (which is available to YOU to rent, by the way!) which will accommodate several different lighting set-ups. There will be models for each set, which will be fantastic. This workshop is limited to just TWENTY people, so be sure you sign up immediately. This is an opportunity you don’t want to miss.

Registration will be through the TCPPA website. The workshop will be Tuesday, August 16 from 9am-1pm. The $200 per person registration will cover the models, hair & make-up, Craig’s fee, and any other expenses. What an amazing opportunity to learn from one of the best in the industry, right here in our backyard! No travel, no hotels, no meals to have to pay for. Grab this opportunity while you can! NOTE: Our regular meeting will take place Monday, August 15 – this is the third Monday of the month rather than the second. Also important to note – we will be at a different location: Hennepin County Library – Ridgedale in Minnetonka.
