During this seminar, you will learn everything about compositing from capture to selling the product. Compositing is the art of combining two or more images and I have found a way to simplify the process so even basic Photoshop users can create amazing realistic composites quickly and easily. If you’re not into compositing, don’t worry, this isn’t just a compositing class. You will learn all kinds of Photoshop skills that will help speed up your workflow and make your everyday editing better, faster, and easier!

I specialize in Photoshop, Lightroom, digital post processing, and color. My passion is teaching photographers how to create high quality images in less time so they can make more money and have more time to spend with family and friends.

I learned about photography during the 12 years I spent working for master photographer Jon Read. Read Photography is a high volume studio in eastern Iowa and I was the head of their digital department and a photographer. I spent most of my time in front of a computer and I estimate that I have worked on over a million photos during my career. All that hard work and experience has paid off with dream jobs and national photography awards. My illustrative photography has garnered Photographer of the Year honors from my state four times, region twice, and nationally 6 times.

I became a regular convention speaker early in my career and that is where I discovered my passion for teaching. In the fall of 2012, I left Read Photography to become an instructor for the famous Hawkeye Community College Photography Program in Waterloo, Iowa. Some of my students have gone on to shoot for Adidas, Nike, Hot Topic, AllRecipes.com, Better Homes and Gardens and many more top brands. With so many new photographers joining our profession, I believe photography education has never been more important. Thank you for the opportunity to speak to your group and share my passion for photography and teaching with you.
